I love the night.

Yanno, I just realized, one thing that did inspire the drawing was Vertigo, which I saw last year and has been in the back of my mind.

Do you live in the city or the countryside? You seem so wonderfully hippish to me. :)

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look. :)

Thanks! Maybe if I concentrate, I can pull up a Scotland themed haiku. :)

I had to look up the word 'hippish.'

HIPPISH -Adjective- 1. Somewhat hypochondriac; melancholy.

. . . though that doesn't seem to fit what you were saying. Perhaps having to do with hippies? My mother is a free-minded, spiritual person from the age of the hippies, which made for an interesting childhood. Perhaps some of it rubbed off. :)

I live in a quiet, white bread southern suburb that is currently having a strange, if amusing, influx of fundamentalist Baptist Korean immigrants and orthodox, Shiva-fearing Hindus. Great fun to watch.

I have, however, lived in the country, the city, deserts, mountains, plains, forests, hills, and valleys. The drawing up above is mostly from recollections of when I lived in the foothills of the Ozarks, in a small housing development nestled amongst the pine trees.

Okay, this is one of my favorite ones of yours. I dunno why, exactly... it just- I feel like I can relate to it. Dunno. Great work, Ark!

:wow: That would be so amazing if you did

Thanks! I'm glad you could relate to it. Darkness makes things different. Like . . . have you ever noticed that, at night, a swimming pool seems somehow . . . softer . . . than in the day?

I'll have to see if I can channel some of my Scottish ancestors. The only problem is that pisses off my English ancestors. And then the Irish ancestors come in and embarrass everyone. Then the German ancestors declare war against all of the other ancestors and invade my Polish ancestors. My Norwegians ones declare their neutrality, while my French ancestors formally surrender. My Cherokee and Apache ancestors are pretty sure all of the others are idiots, get up, and leave. So, you see, it's a bit hard to channel sometimes. :)
